How we look after the personal information you share with us through this website.

Cambridge Allergy Partners is a trading name of Cambridge Allergy Ltd (company number 9905065), a spin-out from Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This policy describes how Cambridge Allergy Ltd processes personal data collected through this website.

We are committed to protecting your privacy, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and the UK General Data Protection Regulation, and undertake not to use any information we may hold about you for any purpose other than that for which it was collected.

  1. We do not automatically capture or store personal information through our website, except in the cases outlined below. Under no circumstances do we use your personal data for anything other than the purpose for which it has been collected.
  2. Our site links to other websites. This privacy policy only covers the Cambridge Allergy Partners website. Other sites will have their own privacy policies and we cannot be held responsible or liable for how they may use your data.
  3. We use Google Analytics to analyse how people use our site. This process uses cookies to track which pages are accessed. All the information collected is anonymous and we do not use it for any other purpose. For more information, see Google's privacy policy. Our contact page also embeds a Google Maps view of our clinic location and we load fonts from Google Fonts; in both cases your IP address is transferred to Google.
  4. You may be invited to fill in information about yourself on a web form. This information will only be used for the purpose stated in each case, and processed on the basis of the consent that you supplied when submitting the information. If you contact us via the form on our website, we collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message. Where your message contains information about a medical or allergy concern, this is treated as special-category (health) data under Article 9 of the UK GDPR. We process it under Article 9(2)(h) (provision of health care) and, by submitting the form, you consent to us holding and using it for that purpose.
  5. Personal data you submit through this site is stored on our own helpdesk infrastructure, managed in-house by Cambridge Allergy Ltd. Some supporting services (such as Cloudflare for content delivery, and Google for the services mentioned above) may process your data on our behalf. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, it is protected by UK adequacy regulations or Standard Contractual Clauses. We keep contact-form submissions for as long as is necessary to respond and to fulfil any clinical-care duty arising from them, after which they are deleted in accordance with our records-retention schedule.
  6. We may analyse statistical trends based on data that we collect to help us to improve our services. This analysis will not include personal information.
  7. To exercise your rights pertaining to the personal data you supplied, please contact [email protected]. Your rights include:
    • Your right to be forgotten: upon your request we will delete any personal data we have collected from you.
    • Your right to rectification: please contact us to correct your personal data.
    • Your right to access: you have a right to access any of the personal data that we hold about you.
    • Your right of portability: we will share your data to a third party at your request.
    • Your right to withdraw consent: you can withdraw your consent for us to hold your data.
  8. You have a right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
  9. Although we will always treat the information you send us with the strictest confidence, we cannot guarantee the security of internet transmissions. If you feel concerned about this, please use another form of contact, such as telephone or post.
